"Du bør..." can also be "Du burde..." Below are 2 sentences about not talking too much on a cell phone. The first uses "bør" while the second uses "burde." Can you hear the difference?
A note regarding the note at the top of page 116. This note is only necessary for the Brits, who use the word "garage" differently than the Americans. You can ignore this, since the Danes and Americans use "garage" in the same way. (Yay! Something you don't have to memorize!)

The Passive
There are two ways to create a passive. The simplest way is the one we are focusing on here. Take the infinitive, Add "s". That's it!
Eksempler:
at synge (to sing) synges (is sung)
at strikke (to knit) strikkes (is knitted)
at se (to see) ses (is seen)
Change the sentences below into passive. Remember that the subject should not be included. For example: Han bestiller en kop kaffe (He orders a cup of coffee) becomes En kop kaffe bestilles (a cup of coffee is ordered. The passive sentence doesn't tell you who did the ordering). You can hover over the box or picture to see the Danish sentence.
De viser en film.
En film vises.
